Abstract:
An archaeological evaluation at Oddfellows Road, Newbury ahead of the construction of 15 flats failed to locate any deposits of archaeological significance. Only a single flint flake was recovered. The wet/low-lying nature of the site, as evidenced by the formation of peat, may indicate that the land had been mainly used as pasture in the past. [Au(abr)]
