Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken on the site of a proposed new office block development. No features were revealed and the only find recovered was an unstratified Early Bronze Age flint thumbnail scraper. Despite the fact that no features were identified in any of the trial trenches, the presence of the flint scraper provided evidence for prehistoric activity within the vicinity. The survival of the subsoil layer over the natural brickearth also indicated the possibility of archaeological deposits surviving on site. [Au(adp)] |
