Abstract: |
The assessment concluded that the site had formerly been part of a field in the possession of Pigeon House Farm and showed that the site had been pasture since at least 1730. Pigeon House Farm was formerly known as Arthurs Court. The Arthurs were lords of the manor of Bishopsworth during the medieval period and it was possible that the farm had once been the site of the manorial court. [Au(abr)] |
