Abstract: |
Excavation, following a watching brief during the construction of a water pipeline, revealed evidence of prehistoric and sustained Romano-British occupation in the area. A pit containing Bronze Age flintwork and hazelnut shells and enclosures and associated ditches of Romano-British date were revealed. Sherds of Bronze Age and Roman pottery were recovered. [AIP] |
