Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was carried out during groundwork for two building extensions. Archaeological deposits were recorded in both foundation trenches. In foundation Trench 1, two pits and several layers were recorded and Trench 2 had a sequence of layers, including a possible chalk surface. Pottery retrieved from both trenches suggested occupation on the site from the early medieval period onwards. [Au(adp)] |
