Abstract: |
The evaluation revealed the stone foundations and the cellar of an industrial building or warehouse recorded on 19th century maps of the area. The remains of a suspected inlet or slipway filled in during the late 16th or early 17th centuries were recorded. Other features of archaeological significance included a possible buried soil horizon dating to the late 16th or early 17th century and former ground surfacing associated with the building remains.
