Abstract: |
Monitoring work during 1993 and 1994 on a new pipeline route, recovered a general scatter of post-medieval pottery sherds and brick and tile fragments, and a scatter of heavily burnt flints. Two small pits or scoops were noted but these were possibly caused by the removal of tree roots. One of these contained a 16th-18th century stoneware sherd. A Mesolithic/Neolithic flint blade was also recovered from the subsoil. [AIP] |
