Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	An archaeological evaluation, involving the excavation of two trenches, was carried out prior to development. Due to the presence, in these two trenches, of post-medieval pits and postholes, a further two trenches were excavated. The trenches were all located within the footprint of the proposed foundations and fully recorded all archaeological features to be affected by the development. The required archaeological mitigation, comprising this fieldwork, therefore was completed during this single phase of trenching. [Au(abr)]
