Abstract: |
Construction work revealed a series of layers containing domestic and construction debris relating to post-Victorian building activity. An undated, but probably post-medieval, wellhead of limestone blocks was also located, but left unexcavated. The earliest finds were of 17th century sherds, which occurred as residual material amongst modern, mainly 19th-20th, century debris. [Au(abr)] |
