Abstract:		 (At Site F, an area of some 270 sq m at the bottom of a sloping ì\nhillside was investigated on behalf of the Department of ì\nTransport, as part of a programme of excavation work undertaken ì\nin advance of the construction of the A435 Norton Lenchwick ì\nBypass. Iron Age features had previously been encountered here during an ì\nevaluation of cropmark enclosures (WA 4910) [see AIP record ì\nC.80.0006].)\n\nParts of a middle Iron Age settlement were excavated, consisting ì\nof a single ditch and a couple of pits. One pit contained a ì\ncomplete pot base which had filled with clay.
