Abstract:		 An archaeological excavation was undertaken in advance of housing development across two plots east and west of Manor Cottages. Previous observations had revealed medieval remains across both plots while the excavation revealed medieval building remains fronting onto Northend Road. To the east a stone-built house with a rubble yard to the rear was occupied from the later 13th century to the early 15th century. To the west another house with a possible outbuilding to the rear was probably occupied from the 12th/13th century to the early/mid-14th century. [Au(adp)]
