Abstract: |
An evaluation was undertaken at the proposed site of a road junction. A 10th-11th century church, a medieval moated site and two possible fish ponds in the area may have formed part of a manorial complex. A walkover survey identified a number of earthworks, thought to have been modern field boundaries; no features were encountered during the evaluation. Only recent fragments of brick, tile, glass and pottery were recovered. Areas of made ground were noted. [AIP] |
