Abstract:
The evaluation, in advance of a proposed residential development, revealed arhcaeological features from two broad periods, the Late Bronze Age-Early/Middle Iron Age, and Late Iron Age. A Late Bronze Age probable burnt mound and associated ditch was located beside a stream. Elements of a possible enclosure ditch were also discovered., perhaps representing permanent settlement. Evidence of Late Iron Age activity comprised a ditch and probably associated hearth. [Au(abr)]
