Abstract: |
Two archaeological evaluations were carried out in October 1994 at Tachbrook Park - Site V2 on Apollo Way, and Site M on Athena Drive (see separate AIP record for latter) - prior to the development of the land as an industrial and commercial estate. The area lies in the vicinity of a series of cropmarks (Warwickshire SMR Ref No WA 4562), but trial trenching on both sites failed to reveal finds or structural remains of any period pre-dating the 19th century. Two shallow pits recorded in Trench 2 at Site V2, while undated by artefactual remains, are most likely to have been associated with Myton Farm, the post-enclosure (1773) farm which existed in the vicinity.[AIP] |
