Abstract: |
Nothing of archaeological interest was found during the evaluation excavation. A single, broken, undiagnostic flint flake was recovered. The paucity of the topsoil and compaction and contamination of the subsoil suggested that the area had previously been stripped onto the natural, probably during the course of landscaping for the former school grounds.
