Abstract: |
The geophysical survey was carried out along with a fieldwalking survey, field reconnaissance survey and an auger survey. The geophysical survey identified weak or isolated magnetic anomalies, most of which were unlikely to have been archaeologically significant. Earthworks or linear banks, field boundaries and curvilinear and sub-circular depressions were identified through the additional methods. Other features recorded in the area included ridge and furrow earthworks, former buildings, a former stream course, the ruin of Holywell cottage and Holywell chapel. [Au(adp)] |
