Abstract: |
Archaeological observation was maintained during an extension to rear of Sculpins Farm. No archaeological deposits were observed in the foundation trenches. However, the lowest foundation course of a brick wall projecting from the rear of the house and forming the dividing wall between the main house and a demolished wing, was observed immediately off one of the trenches. The owner had a number of finds from the upper fill of the moat, including 17th/18th century wine bottles and sherds of medieval pottery. [Au(adp)] |
