Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken of land at 10 Great North Road, Barnet. A large boundary ditch or watercourse, infilled in the early post-medieval period was revealed, and this possibly represented the boundary of Enfield Chase. Despite the site's location, no evidence from the Battle of Barnet (known to have occurred here), nor evidence of a medieval mill (thought to have stood in the area) was identified. [Au(adp)] |
