Abstract: |
Two evaluation trenches were excavated at the site. Nine archaeological features were observed and recorded. Post holes, pits and a beam slot were present. Medieval material including 12th-14th century pottery, animal bone, shell and slate were recovered. In addition, a layer of chalk blocks and flint nodules overlay the features in one of the trenches, suggesting the presence of a building (15th century). [Au] |
