Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring was undertaken in a field where previous evaluations had identified evidence for a medieval settlement. Despite the proximity to the settlement, no archaeological features or deposits were disturbed during excavation of the drainage trenches. Quantities of unstratified artefacts were present with late 12th or 13th century pottery types and fabrics comparable with material previously recovered close by. [Au(abr)] |
