Abstract: |
The assessment identified medieval ridge and furrow with associated medieval field boundaries in the eastern half of the site which probably extended across most of the study area. The density of known prehistoric and Romano-British sites in the vicinity of the study area suggested that the area was intensively occupied particularly in the Iron Age and Romano-British periods.
