Abstract: |
<summary>Archaeological excavation of a series of narrow footing and drainage trenches for the construction of an extension to an existing building revealed substantial wall footings, traces of gravelled and limestone surfaces and two lengths of substantial walling, of 2nd and 3rd century date, and an intact well filled with 4th century domestic refuse. Deposits of iron slag, probably of 4th century date and indicative of possible industrial activity on the site, were also recovered. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
