Abstract: |
<summary>{boldon}[{boldoff}A trial excavation was undertaken to confirm the presence of a ring-ditch seen on aerial photographs and possibly representing the site of a flattened Bronze Age barrow. The ring-ditch was indeed located, and its fill was found to contain numerous fragments of worked flint of Bronze Age date. The flint artefactual assemblage also contained evidence of activity pre-dating the ring-ditch, in the form of some Mesolithic microliths.{boldon}]{boldoff} {italon}AIP{italoff} {italon}SMR Primary Record Numbers:{italoff} CRM027 |
