Abstract: |
The desk-based assessment was carried out for the site, which would be developed into a light industrial unit covering the majority of the site. The sites and monuments record proved that there was a fairly low level of archaeological activity in the immediate area, with the particular focus on post-medieval archaeology. The site's former use as a coal yard had the greatest impact on it and resulted in high levels of contamination. Leveling had taken place and filling in with man-made ground during the later development since the 1900s. [Au(adp)] |
