Abstract: |
The site was a vacant plot formerly occupied by a farm known as Lyppard Grange, which dated from the seventeenth century. The project located evidence for a moat, probably of the sixteenth or seventeenth century, and probably, at that period, a garden feature rather than a defensive enclosure. Other features included former land boundaries and a brick culvert of quite sophisticated construction. [Au(adp)] |
