Abstract: |
The watching brief revealed evidence about the alluvial history of the River Lyd valley, showing changes in the ground level and in the material being transported by the river, possibly showing changes in activity at Middle Forge through the changing mineral content. A probable confluence for the post-medieval overflow stream for middle Forge was identified and a circular, wood lined pit or well base was also located. [Au(abr)] |
