Abstract: |
Two trial trences, each 10m by 1.65m, were excavated as an archaeological evaluation prior to the determination of planning permssion for the residential development of the site. Both trenches revealed a layer of recent build up and rubbish overlying matural clay deposits with no archaeological remains survivng. In addition, three sections of the street frontage bank were cleaned and recorded. These suggested that recent construction work had truncated any archaeological deposits. [Au(adp)] |
