Abstract: |
A site visit was made to the site where timbers had been observed in the riverbed. Directly under the bridge numerous barrels covered pebbles were observed, with wooden posts sticking out. The barrels were interpreted for use as a fording place, as the riverbed was to soft to cross at this point. The posts may represent a different phase of activity and their use could not be interpreted. [Au(abr)] |
