Abstract: |
The site, a Grade I Listed Building, was subjected to the assessment prior to landscaping and structural works in the grounds of the manor building. Surviving elements of medieval enclosure were thought to be represented by earthworks in the study area. There was further potential for medieval occupation next to the existing bridge south of the main pond. A mill was recorded on an estate plan of 1603, and there was thought to be potential for further remains. It was thought possible that unrecorded below-ground structures may have survived in the vicinity of Manor Farmhouse itself. [Au(abr)] |
