Abstract: |
The evaluation revealed very little of archaeological interest. This comprised a few struck flints of a broad prehistoric date. A number of subsoil features were examined, but where dating evidence was recovered these were all of post-medieval or modern date. Examination of a large earthwork forming the north-eastern boundary of the site revealed that it was a substantial lynchet, representing two phases of activity. Dating evidence was not prolific for this feature, but the first phase was tentatively of post-medieval date. [Au(adp)] |
