Abstract: |
Seven pits and two post holes were found, five of which were clearly dated to the Saxon period. The pottery and other finds indicated that these five pits were filled in the mid-Middle Saxon period. The other four were stratigraphically dated to the Saxon period. Remains of the Southampton to Salisbury canal were also recovered. [Au] |
