Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring was undertaken on groundworks associated with the redevelopment of the site. The subsoil was much disturbed and re-deposited in places, indicating that significant earth moving had taken place. A clayey soil layer along the western side of the site was an alluvial deposit associated with the former course of the River Ash, which had now been channelled. No archaeological features or finds were identified. [Au(abr)] |
