The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 An archaeological evaluation was undertaken within an area of open fields located between the medieval settlements of Holgate and Acomb. The site lay close to the find spots of two stone coffin lids and field boundaries both of Roman date. A previous geophysical survey had also identified various anomalies which could have been related to an early agricultural use of the site. All deposits encountered were all of modern date. [AIP]
