Abstract: |
The observation of four trenches was undertaken. The main features revealed were modern in origin. However, also revealed were organic deposits dating to the 12th/13th century and probably representing domestic waste disposal in an area of gardens or backyards. No evidence of any stone structures was noted but a horizontal timber at the base of a trench could have possibly been a sill beam for a small wooden structure such as a shed or outhouse. [AIP] |
