Abstract: |
A watching brief was conducted on the groundwork for the foundations of two new buildings. The natural gravel was overlain by a developed soil horizon. Two features were probably part of the root systems of two yew trees grubbed out as part of the present development. A small quantity of unstratified finds was uncovered. They included a fragment of Roman imbrex, a sherd of high medieval pottery and two sherds of post-medieval pottery. [Au(abr)] |
