Abstract: |
Three trenches were excavated inside the building, two in the cellar and one in the former kitchen. The two cellar trenches revealed medieval and Roman features and deposits, most of which had already been recorded during the cellar's construction. The features included a Roman wall and associated buttress. The kitchen trench revealed a deep sequence of medieval and post-medieval deposits. [Au(abr)] |
