Abstract: |
No evidence was found to suggest any archaeological remains existed within the study area. The site lay outside the bounds of the medieval town of Newnham and was likely to have been agricultural land throughout its history, until the building of the modern Vicarage in the 1960s. The evidence suggested that the site had been an orchard associated with the nearby Hill Farm since at least 1844 and probably since the 1600s. [Au] |
