Abstract: |
Assessment of the site of a proposed car park identified that the area was likely to contain archaeological remains from a number of periods. Artefactual remains ranging from Bronze Age to medieval date had previously been recovered from the developemnt area, and evaluation on land directly adjacent had revealed post-medieval features, medieval pottery and the remains of a Roman building. Aerial photographs also showed a feature in the north-east corner of the site. [AIP] |
