Abstract:
A watching brief was undertaken at Pershore Abbey Park, Pershore, during excavations for ducts for the lighting of the footpaths to the south and west of the Abbey for Wychavon District Council. The ducts cross or pass close to areas known to contain features associated with the Abbey and its associated buildings. The excavations and the resulting spoil were inspected periodically during the course of the work, and an area of dark silt interpreted as the fill of a ditch was observed during the excavation adjacent to the path running from the Abbey to the junction of Abbey Road and Farleigh Road.[AIP]
