Abstract: |
The appraisal area comprised of a group of fields, mainly pasture, and beech woodland lying on Tunbridge Wells Sand, adjacent to a known Roman road. Existing records suggested that the site had a low to moderate potential for containing archaeological deposits of Roman date. Further evidence of Mesolithic and medieval/post-medieval date was also expected.[Au] |
