Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of foundation trenches for an extension to a 16th century house. The site may have been occupied by a medieval manor house, although an alternative location may have been a moated site 60m to the north. No features were observed during the watching brief, although vertical slots of uncertain function were revealed in the east wall, following the removal of a 1950s concrete staircase. [AIP] |
