Abstract: |
Five evaluation trenches were excavated and recorded. Post-medieval features and deposits were identified, including the remnants of the original St. Thomas Street frontage and two glass cones and associated structures of an 18th century glassworks. Although some areas of disturbance were identified, the general survival rate of significant archaeological features and deposits was good, some of which was located relatively close to existing surface layers.
