Abstract: |
Within the study area there was limited evidence for medieval activity surmised from a document dating from 1297 which discussed Sheffield as a whole. During the latter half of the 20th century the site went through a series of extensive changes. The brewery was demolished in the 1960s to make way for a car park and in the early 1970s a new road called Arundel Gate was constructed to the south-east of the site. This road removed most of Eyre Street. [Au(abr)] |
