Abstract: |
<summary>The excavation of 16 trial-pits at a potential mineral extraction site was archaeologically monitored. The investigation recovered evidence of prehistoric activity in the area, in the form of a few flint flakes and heavily burnt flint. A scatter of post-medieval brick and tile fragments was also identified. Waterlogged deposits of possible archaeological significance were recorded in the trial-pits. Examination of aerial photographs also revealed an area containing possible field systems and associated features. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
