Abstract: |
Desk-based assessment and a magnetometer survey of a proposed development site were undertaken. Prehistoric and Roman artefacts, the latter including fragmentary remains associated with pottery manufacture, had been found in the vicinity of the site, and cropmarks had been recorded. The geophysical survey identified one area of anomalous readings, which was investigated by a test pit. Six sherds of heavily abraded, undated pottery were recovered, but no further archaeological remains were present. [AIP] |
