Abstract:		 An archaeological evaluation, consisting of desk based research and the excavation of four trial trenches (10.25m, 11.25m, 11.25m and 1m by 1.6m), was undertaken in advance of the determination of planning permission for residential development of the site which lay within the possible site of a deserted medieval settlement. The excavation recorded no evidence of archaeological activity preceeding the 20th century. [Au(adp)]
