Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief on extensions to, and refurbishment of, an existing sports pavilion revealed a fragment of medieval encaustic floor tile in a secondary context. It may have originated from the Hospital of St Mary Magdalene. Buried soil horizons were probably associated with the use of the park, though one may have been a remnant agricultural soil.
