Abstract: |
The foundations of the south aisle and adjacent buttress were revealed to be of better quality and deeper than those of the south-western tower buttresses. The former were almost certainly contemporary with the 14th century construction of the aisle. The foundations of the tower buttresses were cruder and more shallow. A dump of worked stone was located adjacent to the tower buttress in test pit 1. [Au] |
