Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken at Ford Street, Stapleton, on a vacant site during the excavation of the foundation trenches for a house and garage. This area lies within the 'Froggestrete' suburb of Presteigne which probably became depopulated by the mid-15th century. The position of the development probably falls in what was a backyard or may even have been part of the adjacent arable field as only a single posthole was recorded in the section of the foundation trench investigated.[AIP] |
