Abstract: |
During the course of the watching brief no archaeological deposits were exposed, although in several places the natural stratigraphy was reached. The majority of the material encountered was recent makeup layers for the construction of the parade of shops. Two recent drainage gullies were sampled, and there were several spreads of cobbles which, although were most likely infilling may possibly have been metalling for recent tracks.[Au(abr)] |
